The quality of the customers’ products is ensured by the quality of our translations. By the use of most modern and professional data bases, the homogeny of the documentation is guaranteed over the years, even if our personnel should fluctuate. Additionally, much attention is given to the ever-increasing pressure of deadlines. Through continuous dialog with the database, the processing times are reduced especially in the case of similarly occurring texts, thereby shortening delivery times. Our customers benefit from these savings in expenses.

We stand out among our competitors through the wide range of competence among our staff members. The concept of in-house translations with a steadily employed staff is rather unusual and seldom found in the translating branch because of the high costs in personnel during times of vacillating economies, thus representing an immense entrepreneurial risk. We decided for the in-house concept despite this, for reasons of quality.

More than 12 of the languages offered are elaborated internally by RKT employees. This philosophy offers a great advantage in the case of multiple-language translations because time-consuming clarification between translators and customers is considerably reduced and the effectiveness is greatly increased.

Questions on the subject material are clarified in advance; technical terms are checked with the customer. Whenever the complex description of technical processes requires intensive instruction, our translators are on site at the customer to familiarize themselves with the customer specific technology and the subject material. This mode of procedure guarantees a high standard of language quality. It is obligatory for us to carry out all translations in accordance with DIN EN 15038:2006-08. The spectrum of the professional fields in which our translators have acquired expert knowledge is extremely extensive. From mechanical engineering to electrical engineering, medicine and dental technology, control technology, EDP, metrology up to laser technology and many other fields, they demonstrate not only linguistic competence but also competence in the field. This professionalism is also reflected by the use of the most modern computer and data technology. Right from the beginning, we were intent on employing the latest of computer equipment.

Whether it has to do with data in PC or Mac format, or whether layout, picture and graphics processing is required in diverse programs – as far as soft and hardware goes, no customer wish remains unfulfilled. Powerful programs such as FrameMaker, Indesign, PageMaker and QuarkXpress are utilized. The daily use of these programs by our personnel guarantees the professional processing of the texts even when converting into other programs.
Back in 1995, we were already developing and programming software not available on the market at that time to support our translation activity, such as the terminology database that ensures the consistent use of customer-specific terminology in all languages.
